Improvements at the Nursery
During the Easter holiday improvements were made to the layout of the rooms and to which age groups were in those rooms.
Since taking over the nursery in August we have wanted to move the babies into their own dedicated space and the toddler group into the main building where they have direct access to our huge outdoor classroom. This has now been made possible through building work that has taken place.
There are new toilet facilities for them to use with easy access from both inside and outside. Additional resources have been purchased and the whole feel of the area is one of a home-from-home. This is very much in line with our thinking. This area of the nursery is ‘Blossoms’.
The upstairs, which had a makeover earlier, continues to be the indoor area for our pre-school children and is now known as ‘Apples’.
With the changes having been successfully carried out, the next areas for development are more resources for the children and the further improvement of the outdoor. To give you a flavour of what is to come, we have already created a raised garden for the children to grow vegetables and a mound with a tunnel has appeared. The children have taken to going up and over the hill!!
The office has been enlarged to enable parents have somewhere quiet and private to go to discuss issues with the Manager.
